No, it does not vibrate at 60.
For the money for a new bike, the Savage is the deal. After my couple of visits to HD, I'm convinced that to get a bike worth buying there, you need to be ready to put down $12K. The base Sportster has an awkward seating position (I'm 6'1" and 255 lb.)
From what I'm hearing here in the forum, try to checkout the reputation of the dealer. It sounds like it makes a difference in the experience. I had absolutely no issues with my bike when I got it .
By the way in my area around Houston, I've noticed that most of the dealers seem to have fewer left overs (all models) from the previous model year. Either they have better inventory control or what they say about the popularity of motorcycling being on the rise is very true. If you can find a left over you should be able to save a few hundred dollars. Remember that the Savage does not change from year to year (except the color choice).
